Ashley Sims

Ashley Sims is an associate in the Washington, DC office of Littler Mendelson, PC.

Ms. Sims advises and represents employers in a broad range of employment law matters arising under federal and state law, including claims based on Title VII, Title IX, the ADA, FLSA and the District of Columbia Human Rights Act.

She also drafts motions and briefs; has assisted employers with DOL compliance audits relating to the FLSA's "White Collar Exemption"; and has handled internal investigations involving employee and leadership issues, criminal acts committed by minors and financial irregularities with public funds.

Additionally, Ms. Sims advises clients on sexual harassment; race, gender and religious discrimination; leave accommodation; disparate treatment in hiring; FLSA compliance; the tip credit and tip pooling exceptions to the FLSA; and the ministerial exception to Title VII and the DC Human Rights Act.

She received her JD from Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law, and a BA from Southern Methodist University.
