Ms. Blinn-Spears provides litigation prevention counseling and labor and employment defense to corporate clients in a wide variety of industries.
She has experience in defending discrimination and sexual harassment claims as well as retaliation claims under Title VII and various whistleblower statutes.
Ms. Blinn-Spears has also defended tort claims against individual defendants and has expertise in various aspects of non-competition agreements.
Her experience also includes defense of class actions under the FCRA and collective actions under the FLSA.
Ms. Blinn-Spears has litigated in state and federal trial and appellate courts as well as with administrative agencies including the EEOC and NLRB.
Her counseling practice also ranges widely, including wage and hour issues, discipline and termination procedures, as well as drafting enforceable non-competition agreements.
Ms. Blinn-Spears received her JD from the Washington & Lee School of Law, magna cum laude, after graduating from Centre College where she received a BA in English and Government.
