Mr. Hammond has extensive experience in employment litigation, labor arbitrations, collective bargaining, client counseling, and union relations with a specialization in the healthcare and service industries.
He exclusively represents employers in labor and employment disputes, including contract negotiation, labor arbitrations and unfair labor practice charges.
Mr. Hammond practice includes representation of both private and public sector employers.
He has conducted employment and labor seminars for the American Hospital Association, the American Society of Employers, Trinity Healthcare Services, Caretel Inns of America, healthcare employers and a number of healthcare facilities regarding union organizing tactics, grievance arbitration, union avoidance, the Employee Free Choice Act, labor law and hiring and firing.
Prior to joining Nemeth Burwell, PC in 2007, Mr. Hammond served as labor counsel for the Service Employee International Union from 2003 through 2007.
He earned his JD in 2000 from Widener University School in Delaware.
Mr. Hammond is a member of the ABA, the Association of Healthcare Human Resources Administration and the Health Care Association of Michigan.
