Elizabeth A. Roussel is a partner at Adams and Reese LLP, where she focuses her practice in the areas of labor and employment litigation, commercial litigation and director and officer liability claims
Ms. Roussel has represented a wide variety of clients including financial institutions, private Fortune 500 companies, public entities, non-profit corporations, state agencies, private universities, public trusts and charter schools.
She advises and represents employers in Louisiana's state and federal courts on a wide range of employment matters including claims brought pursuant to Title VII, the ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, Sections 1981 and 1983 of the US Code and Louisiana's anti-discrimination and whistleblower statutes.
Ms. Roussel has defended employers in administrative proceedings before the EEOC and the Louisiana Department of Labor.
She has also served as counsel for corporate directors and officers in defending derivative suits alleging mismanagement, fraud and conversion.
Ms. Roussel provides proactive advice, counseling, and training to employers regarding policies, procedures and statutory compliance.
She received her JD from Tulane University Law School and her BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
