Judith A. Paulson is special counsel in the Sacramento, CA office of Littler Mendelson, PC, the largest US-based law firm exclusively devoted to representing management in every aspect of labor and employment law.
Ms. Paulson focuses her practice on defending employers against discrimination and willful misconduct claims before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, specifically handling actions brought under Labor Code sections 4553 and 132a.
She also has represented employers in civil litigation in state and federal courts and before government agencies, including the EEOC, the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, the Office of Labor Commissioner, and the Department of Fair Employment and Housing.
Additionally, Ms. Paulson counsels clients in many aspects of the employment relationship, including drafting and revising personnel policies, implementing leave of absence policies, processing terminations, and providing guidance on employee handbook policy compliance.
She has authored numerous articles on employment issues and has conducted training seminars on employment matters, including how to avoid sexual harassment claims.
Ms. Paulson received her JD from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1994, cum laude, and her BA from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1991.
