Michael G. Congiu is a shareholder in the Chicago office of Littler Mendelson, PC, the largest US-based law firm exclusively devoted to representing management in every aspect of labor and employment law.
Mr. Congiu advises and represents employers in various areas of employment and traditional labor law before state and federal district courts, federal appellate courts, the EEOC, and other state agencies responsible for investigating workplace discrimination and harassment.
Additionally, he is a core group member of the firm's leaves of absence and disability accommodation practice group.
Mr. Congiu also has extensive experience responding to audit requests from regulatory agencies such as the DOL, the Illinois Department of Employment Security and the Illinois Commerce Commission.
While in law school, he served as a judicial extern to the Hon. Judge Joan Gottschall of the Northern District of Illinois and as a legal extern for EEOC Supervisory Administrative Law Judge Margaret Lee Herbert.
Mr. Congiu received his JD from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2006 and his BA from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 2003.
