Social Media: What Employers Need to Know Now

Social media has empowered employees and customers with the ability to virally and broadly spread their message across the world. As a result, careers and brands have been ruined with a single mouse-click. Not surprisingly, Social media use by employees has rapidly developed into one of the hottest issues facing you and your employer. From wasting time, to poor judgment, to outright public disclosure of trade secrets, social media has exposed employers to substantial liability and risks. Those risks include lawsuits for copyright or trademark infringement, defamation, employment discrimination, and violations of labor laws.

This webinar will lead you through a discussion of the current issues that you face when dealing with social media and provide tips and best practices that you can employ. You will learn how to avoid or minimize various legal risks associated with using social media to screen or terminate employees. Register today to reserve your place for just $95 and you will gain a better understanding of how to apply traditional HR principles in the digital context.
