Stefanie H. Kastrinsky

Stefanie H. Kastrinsky is an associate in the New York office of Littler Mendelson, PC, the largest US-based law firm exclusively devoted to representing management in every aspect of labor and employment law.

Ms. Kastrinsky advises clients on a variety of employee benefits matters, including:

  • The design and administration of employer-sponsored health, welfare, and retirement plans, including qualified, non-qualified, and Section 403(b) retirement plans
  • Compliance with ERISA's fiduciary rules, in particular, as they relate to a plan's reporting and disclosure requirements and plan investments
  • Use of the IRS and US Department of Labor voluntary compliance correction programs
  • Enforcement of ERISA-governed health and welfare plans' rights of reimbursement and subrogation

Ms. Kastrinsky has extensive experience drafting benefit plan documents, plan amendments, and summary plan descriptions, which are compliant with ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code; and analyzing issues related to Section 409A of the Internal Revenue Code.

Prior to attending Brooklyn Law School, Ms. Kastrinsky worked as an employee benefits communications consultant at two nationally recognized consulting firms.
