New York City Earned Sick Time Notice Poster
Entity Issuing Poster: New York City Department of Consumer Affairs.
Applicability: Posting this notice is recommended for New York City employers that need to fulfill notice obligations under the New York City Earned Sick Time Act (also known as the ESTA or the Paid Sick Leave Law).
Distribution Specifications: An employer may post this notice in addition to delivering it to employees in the required written form under the ESTA. The posting cannot take place in lieu of delivering the notice. The delivery method an employer chooses must reasonably ensure employees receive the notice, such as:
- Handing to each employee personally;
- Sending by regular mail or email; or
- Including in new hire materials given directly to the employee.
An employer must also maintain, distribute and post a written sick time policy.
