When to Use

Employers may wish to implement a Suspension Policy to complement existing discipline policies, particularly a Progressive Discipline Policy.

In certain situations, a suspension with or without pay pending an investigation may be advisable to preserve the safety of the employees involved, to protect the integrity of an investigation and to maintain employee productivity and workplace harmony.
