Federal Workplace Labor and Employment Law Posters

Author: XpertHR Editorial Team

An employer should ensure compliance with federal requirements. HR must monitor the applicable statutes and update the postings as needed. The following chart contains information regarding whether a specific poster is:

  • Required for all employers;
  • Required for employers in certain industries or based on federal contractor status;
  • Required for an employer based on the number of its employees; or
  • Recommended for an employer, but not required.

Clicking on the poster titles in the chart will provide access to notice-posting information located in the Policies and Procedures tool.

For additional information on state requirements, check State Workplace Labor and Employment Law Posters.

New York Electronic Posting Requirement. In addition to complying with physical posting requirements, employers in New York must also make all posters required by state or federal law or regulation available electronically either on the employer's website or via email. Employers must also notify employees that posters are available electronically.
