Jose M. Jara
José M. Jara advises clients in a myriad of labor and employment issues such as sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, restrictive covenants, exempt and non-exempt employees, and traditional labor. He also provides interactive harassment training and conducts internal investigations.
Mr. Jara has over 20 years of ERISA and employee benefits experience, ranging from class action litigation, governmental compliance, fiduciary liability insurance, to the application of ERISA's fiduciary standards and prohibited transaction provisions. In addition, he has extensive experience resolving issues for corporate plan sponsors and multiemployer plans before the US Department of Labor (DOL), where he was formerly a senior pension law specialist and investigator.
