When to Use

Prior to assigning a US employee to work abroad, many issues must be considered and decided when structuring an international assignment. Below is a high-level list identifying the common issues an employer should contemplate prior to finalizing the details of any assignment arrangement. The implications of these issues should be discussed with legal and tax advisors. Employers do not have to complete the following steps in sequential order to properly complete the checklist.
