When to Use

An employer and its employees must know exactly how to address and evacuate the workplace in case of any type of emergency, such as a fire, bomb threat and active shooter incident. Developing and implementing an emergency action plan and an evacuation plan are essential for a safe work environment. The items below address steps an employer may take to develop an emergency and evacuation plan. Employers do not have to complete the following steps in sequential order to properly complete the checklist.
