XpertHR Adds New Whistleblowing Resources

Author: Marta Moakley, XpertHR Legal Editor

XpertHR has added two new resources to its already robust whistleblowing content, with another resource set for release in February. Employee-friendly trends in this area make it necessary for employers to remain cognizant of and compliant with evolving laws and regulations. XpertHR has developed a Task and added a How To that will aid employers in achieving compliance goals.

HR professionals may consult a new Task addressing challenges in managing employee whistleblowers. In addition, How to Communicate With Employees Who Have Made Whistleblower Complaints will guide employers through the process of making the reporting employee feel supported, protected and respected while an internal complaint is being investigated. Employees who feel support in making internal complaints are less likely to engage in whistleblowing to external agencies.

Coming in February, XpertHR will release its Whistleblowing Best Practice Manual. This comprehensive resource will show employers the best options for avoiding external investigations or whistleblowing.

Because this area of employment law continues to develop, employers should also consult XpertHR's ongoing news coverage of developments.
