Summary

  • Arizona courts will assume that a worker is an independent contractor and not an employee for purposes of Arizona's workers' compensation law if a business and the independent contractor execute a written agreement that satisfies certain conditions. See Workers' Compensation.
  • Arizona uses a test almost identical to the IRS 20-factor test for determining whether a worker is an employee under its unemployment insurance law. See Unemployment Insurance.
