  • The District of Columbia provides job services for employers and job seekers alike. In certain circumstances, employers are required to utilize the District's career center website. See Methods and Sources.
  • Employers with contracts above a certain amount, funded in whole or in part by the District of Columbia, must use the District as a first source for recruitment. See First Source Agreement.
  • The District of Columbia's antidiscrimination law is broader than federal law, as it includes marital status, personal appearance, political affiliation and other protected characteristics. See District of Columbia Human Rights Act.
