Summary

  • Kansas regulations provide for creation of an affirmative action file where it appears necessary to the Kansas Human Rights Commission that affirmative action is needed to eliminate the effects of past discrimination. See Affirmative Action File.
  • When the Commission requires an affirmative action file, the employer must maintain a file with the applications of all specified minorities and must consider these applications first for open positions. See Affirmative Action File.
