- Although Oregon's civil rights laws track Title VII and include the same protected classes under Title VII, Oregon law has a few unique protected classes that give rise to additional anti-retaliation protections for employees. See Retaliation Under Oregon's Civil Rights Laws.
- Oregon's civil rights law, sometimes referred to as the Oregon Fair Employment Practices Law (OFEPL) prohibits retaliation against any person because that person has opposed any practices forbidden under those laws, or because that person has participated in Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) proceedings.
