Summary

  • Ohio law expressly incorporates many provisions from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) to define exempt employees. See Employees Exempt Under Federal Law.
  • Ohio also provides for several additional exemptions that are not included in federal law. To be exempt from overtime pay, an employee must be exempt under both the federal and Ohio laws. See Other Exempt Employees.
