- Employees are entitled to unpaid meal breaks after they work a certain number of hours. See Break Periods.
- Rhode Island law restricts the hours during which certain employees may work. See Hours of Work.
- Employees must be paid three hours' wages if they report for a requested or scheduled work shift but are provided less than three hours' work. See Show-Up Time / Reporting Time.
- An employer may not discharge or impose any other penalty on an employee for refusing to work on Sunday or on certain holidays. See Day of Rest.
