New Hire Paperwork requirements for other states

  • At the time of hiring, Idaho employers must provide certain pay notices to their employees. See Notice of Pay.

Notice of Pay

Employers are required to provide notice to employees at the time of hiring of the rate of pay and the usual day of payment. They are also required to provide such information in writing to the employee upon the employee's request. See +Idaho Code § 45-610.

Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy

Idaho employers are permitted to condition hiring or continued employment on drug or alcohol tests conducted by the employer or a third party. If a private employer does test its applicants or employees, it must distribute a written policy to employees (including new hires and potential employees) that describes the types of tests that an employee may be subject to. They must also include a statement that testing positive may result in a refusal to hire, discipline or termination due to misconduct.See+Idaho Code § 72-1701 et. seq.
