  • Georgia prohibits discrimination in hiring new employees based on a candidate's disability, age, religion and criminal record. See Prohibited Discrimination in Hiring.
  • Georgia has one of the strongest presumptions of employment at-will. See At-Will Employment.
  • An employment agreement lasting for one year or longer must be written and signed in order to be enforceable. See Employment Contracts.
  • Restrictive covenants are generally allowed in Georgia, so long as they are reasonable in time, geographic area, and scope of prohibited activities. See Restrictive Covenants.
