Summary

  • Michigan's Labor Relations and Mediation Act generally prohibits private employers and unions, not under the jurisdiction of the National Labor Relations Act, from engaging in certain unfair labor practices. See Employer Unfair Labor Practices; and Union Unfair Labor Practices.
  • If an unfair labor practice is found, employers and unions under each Act's jurisdiction are subject to penalties, including injunctive relief, reporting requirements, and other remedies deemed appropriate under the Act. See Unfair Labor Practices Procedures and Penalties.
