How may an employer reduce its discrimination risks while using social media recruiting?

An employer protects itself by doing three things:
- Allocating authority for reviewing an applicant's social media site to HR only;
- Performing a review of a job applicant's public social media pages only after he or she has been interviewed in person; and
- Performing this review consistently for all applicants at the same time in the recruitment process.
