BYOD is a popular trend in businesses in which employees are allowed or encouraged to use their personal devices, such as laptops and blackberries, to conduct business tasks. The use of the personal device can eliminate the need of the employer to provide devices to the employees. There are many benefits to implementing a BYOD practice in a workplace, but there are also many concerns. To better balance the benefits and risks, it is important to create and enforce a BYOD policy before allowing BYOD.
