Policies and Documents
Our Policies and Documents tool is like having an HR library at your fingertips. Any time you need a model policy, posters, notices, sample letters, contract clauses and forms, you can find them all here.
Our model policies are different from our Employee Handbooks statements in that they are more instructional in nature. While they may not be required or recommended, they can still provide value to your organization - for example having an inclement weather policy could be beneficial.
Note: due to popular demand, we've begun to ramp up our state-specific resources - such as sample job offer letters and job application forms. Watch out for our product announcement emails or visit our Coming Soon to XpertHR page regularly so you don't miss an update.
From the Policies and Documents homepage you can search within the tool, by state and even by locality, as well as by category. You can also navigate to tool categories via the smart breadcrumb bar. The homepage also features a list of the most recent new and updated resources.
The Trending box gives you a sense of what's topical, providing a list of the most popular articles within the tool.
When you navigate to a specific category, for example Employee Benefits, you will notice sub-categories and a listing of related resources separated into different tabs for forms, letters, policies & procedures and posters for ease of browsing.
Policies and Documents is also home to all federal, state and local posting requirements. Each resource will direct you to the government site where you can download the most up-to-date poster.
Documents within the Payroll category also include links to government IRS forms. As with our posters, we feature a link to the government site where you can download the latest form.
All model policies, forms, letters are fully customizable and downloadable into MS Word. Copy inserted between brackets [ ] signify areas of customization. These resources also come equipped with "When to Use" guidance, including best practice tips, warnings and additional related resources on XpertHR.
