Fire is one of the most common emergencies in the workplace, with more than 70,000 work-related occurrences across the nation each year. Although most fires start small, they can grow swiftly and exponentially, and may cause dangerous levels of smoke, catastrophic fires or explosions. Therefore, properly handling the first few minutes of response is extremely important to life and the safety of the workforce.
