How to Prepare and File an EEO-1 Report

Each year, certain employers are required to file an Employer Information Report EEO-1, otherwise known as the EEO-1 Report, and provide critical data to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) on the gender, racial and ethnic makeup of its workforce. The EEO-1 Report is not voluntary and a covered employer must file by June 1, 2018 for the 2017 calendar year. To prepare and file an EEO-1 Report, a covered employer should follow these steps:
