The goal of a successful employee suggestion program has always been to tap into the ideas and creative thinking of employees in an effort to improve work processes, systems, methods and products. A properly managed suggestion program can improve morale, increase productivity, cut costs and raise retention rates. However, creating and implementing an employee suggestion program should not be undertaken lightly. While asking employees for their input is a great method of motivating workers, make sure that the program has the proper management support and reward structure to engage employees or it will not be successful.
