Montana Minimum Wage Increases to $8.50

Implementation Date: January 1, 2019

The minimum wage in Montana increases from $8.30 per hour to $8.50 per hour on January 1, 2019, per an annual inflation adjustment required by the state statute. +Mont. Code Anno., § 39-3-409. The adjustment is based on the 2.7% increase in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers between August 2017 and August 2018, rounded to the nearest five cents.
