Utah Amends Safety and Health Law to Protect Against Retaliation

Utah's Occupational Safety and Health Act (the Act) has been amended to:

  • Prohibit an employer from retaliating in any way against an employee because he or she exercised rights granted by the Act, such as filing a complaint or testifying in a proceeding; and
  • Provide for additional review of Utah Occupational Safety and Health Division orders.
