Poor Attendance Caution Letter

Author: Wayne D. Garris

When to Use

An employer should use this letter when it wants to provide an employee with notice of poor attendance issues. The employer should first meet with the employee and discuss this issue. The letter should be sent after the meeting to reiterate and provide a written record of what was discussed at the meeting. The letter should also warn the employee of any potential disciplinary actions the employer may take if attendance does not improve.
