The US Department of Labor has issued deadline relief and other guidance to aid employers, employee benefit plans, plan participants and other service providers affected by the coronavirus outbreak.
A new Supreme Court ruling makes it easier for employees to bring lawsuits under ERISA by requiring that plan participants have "actual knowledge" of an alleged fiduciary breach before the three-year statute of limitations begins to run.
