New York has joined the growing list of states to legalize the recreational use of marijuana following the passage of legislation with important implications for employers.
Voters in Arizona, Montana, New Jersey and South Dakota have decisively backed ballot initiatives to legalize recreational marijuana. In addition, Mississippi voted to legalize medical marijuana.
This November 3, voters in Arizona, Mississippi, Montana, New Jersey and South Dakota will decide marijuana-legalization measures, and voters in Florida will decide a measure that would raise the minimum wage to $15.00 by 2026.
