Voters in Arizona, Montana, New Jersey and South Dakota have decisively backed ballot initiatives to legalize recreational marijuana. In addition, Mississippi voted to legalize medical marijuana.
This November 3, voters in Arizona, Mississippi, Montana, New Jersey and South Dakota will decide marijuana-legalization measures, and voters in Florida will decide a measure that would raise the minimum wage to $15.00 by 2026.
With the federal minimum wage remaining unchanged for more than 10 years now, states and localities are filling in the gap with new minimum wage laws or increases to existing minimum wages.
