Mr. Blake works with employers to provide strategic and tactical advice on all types of employment matters, including noncompete and trade secret issues, severance and employment agreements, government audits and investigations, reductions in force, employment policies, affirmative action plans, data protection and privacy matters, and litigation avoidance strategies.
He represents local and national clients before state and federal courts and agencies in all types of employment law claims including wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment, contractual, and class action matters.
Mr. Blake provides counsel and representation to employers in labor law matters including representation and compliance cases before the NLRB as well as matters pertaining to union relations, collective bargaining negotiations, arbitrations, union organizing campaigns, picketing, strikes, and related issues.
In addition, to his employment practice, he represents clients in banking and business litigation matters.
Mr. Blake served on the committee charged with drafting guidelines on how to prevent and handle claims of sexual harassment and disability discrimination for the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.
