Jane Ann Himsel is a shareholder in the Indianapolis office of Littler Mendelson, PC, the largest U.S based law firm exclusively devoted to representing management in every aspect of labor and employment law.
Ms. Himsel represents management in employment-related litigation, focusing particularly on religious discrimination and religious accommodation in the workplace.
She practices in state and federal courts, at the trial and appellate levels and before the EEOC, the Indiana Civil Rights Commission, and local human rights commissions.
Ms. Himsel also has in-depth familiarity with claims arising under the FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Indiana Wage Payment and Wage Claims Statutes, and other Indiana statutes and common laws.
She also devotes significant time to assisting employers in developing and implementing personnel policies and practices geared toward litigation avoidance, and she helps draft handbooks.
Additionally, Ms. Himsel provides training regarding anti-harassment and religious and disability accommodation and discrimination.
She received her JD from Northwestern University School of Law in 1989 and her BA from Vanderbilt University in 1986, cum laude.
