Lisa Pierson Weinberger

Lisa Pierson Weinberger is the owner and founder of Mom, Esq., a law firm dedicated to the employment needs of parents and parents-to-be.

Ms. Weinberger currently advises on maternity leave benefits, reinstatement rights, and the proper employment of domestic employees (including work related to the hiring process, background and drug checks, wage-and-hour issues, counseling, discipline, and terminations, and preparing employment applications, timekeeping records, offer letters and employment agreements, confidentiality agreements, arbitration agreements, termination letters, and severance and release agreements).

Prior to opening Mom, Esq., she counseled employers on many aspects of California and federal employment law, including the interviewing and hiring process, classification of exempt and non-exempt employees and other wage and hour issues, confidentiality and trade secret issues, harassment and discrimination, leaves of absence, and terminations.

In connection with this representation, Ms. Weinberger drafted customized personnel policies and other employment-related agreements for clients, led training sessions to help minimize employment liability, conducted investigations of employee complaints regarding discrimination, harassment and theft in the workplace, and represented employers in litigation before state courts and administrative agencies in a broad range of matters.
