Luther Wright, Jr., of counsel at Ogletree Deakins, spent several years practicing in the general litigation area of a prominent Nashville law firm after graduating from Vanderbilt University Law School,
Mr. Wright began practicing labor and employment three years into in his legal career and has focused on employment law since that time.
He joined Ogletree Deakins in March 2010 after 15 years of practice.
At Ogletree Deakins, Mr. Wright focuses on employment litigation, employee training, general litigation and counseling employers on day-to-day issues regarding all categories of employment matters.
He has experience representing banks; national gaming, entertainment, and automotive companies; government contractors; hospitals, restaurants; retail establishments; and closely-held businesses in employment and business litigation.
Mr. Wright has represented clients in litigation based on federal and state anti-discrimination laws, state tort litigation, personal injury matters, claims under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, class action and multi-plaintiff litigation.
He has practiced before Tennessee trial courts; federal district courts in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Wisconsin; and the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth and Eleventh Circuits.
Mr. Wright has spoken before numerous groups and associations across the country on a variety of topics and regularly conducts supervisory training and diversity training.
