Matthew K. Johnson, a shareholder at Ogletree Deakins, provides counsel and advice, representation in litigation, and assistance in preventative maintenance and the implementation of policies and procedures to HR/legal departments and corporate management on a variety of workplace and human resources matters, although with a particular interest in USERRA.
Before joining Ogletree Deakins, Mr. Johnson worked in a general litigation and insurance defense practice and regularly draws of his broad experience in civil litigation and trial practice, including construction litigation, commercial litigation, railroad and transportation, product liability and premises liability matters, in helping clients.
In addition to his representation of clients, he regularly presents to HR and other industry groups on workplace and HR-related issues.
Mr. Johnson received his JD from the University of Memphis and clerked for the Hon. D'Army Bailey of the Shelby County Circuit Court after graduating from Rhodes College where he received a BA in Philosophy.
