Ms. Pynes regularly counsels clients on matters relating to day-to-day human resources administration, recruitment, harassment, minimizing liability against lawsuits, the development and implementation of employment contracts, employee handbooks, personnel policies, non-competition agreements, reductions-in-force, independent contractor agreements and compliance with federal, state and local employment statutes.
She also provides training workshops on a variety of employment-related topics including sexual harassment and discrimination, interviewing and hiring, effective communications and managing leave laws.
In addition, Ms. Pynes provides individualized training and executive coaching.
She is a member of the bar in both California and New York. Prior to her work as an employment lawyer, Ms. Pynes wrote for the New York Law Journal and the American Lawyer.
Ms. Pynes received her BS in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University's Newhouse School. She obtained her JD, magna cum laude, from New York Law School.
