Throughout Ms. Smith's career she has represented private companies, non-profits and individuals in a wide range of employment matters in both state and federal courts.
Her employment law experience includes litigation arising under federal and state law involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination as well as contract and tort theories.
In addition, Ms. Smith provides consulting regarding federal and state compliance with employment laws.
She has the distinction of obtaining one of the largest civil rights jury verdicts in the State of Wyoming.
Ms. Smith also has appellate experience, handling cases before both the Wyoming Supreme Court and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
In recent years, she has expanded her practice to include conflict resolution, consulting and policy implementation.
Ms. Smith graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law and practices in Jackson Hole, WY.
Her post-law school education includes graduation from the Trial Lawyer's College, the University of Utah's Conflict Resolution Program and University of Notre Dame Executive Certificate in Negotiation Program.
