Cease and Desist Letter

When to Use
The following cease and desist letter can be used to threaten legal action against a current or former employee if they do not stop soliciting the employer's customers or clients, competing with the employer's business, and/or using the employer's protected confidential information in breach of an employment agreement and/or policies protecting this information. Employers often send cease and desist letters in an effort to resolve the matter in order to avoid filing a complaint in court, which could save the employer time and money.
