When to Use
Internal investigations are crucial for employers in responding to allegations of misconduct, complying with the law and taking a proactive stance toward workplace incidents that could become disruptive or costly. Employers are obligated to investigate in certain situations and the lack of a meaningful or unbiased investigation could be used as evidence of employer wrongdoing. In situations where investigations are not required, they may still prove effective in settling workplace disputes, eliminating waste and improving business practices.
