When to Use This Policy

Use this model policy to set out your organization's approach to international assignments in circumstances in which an employee moves temporarily to work in another country for an affiliate of the employer and the employee remains employed by the US organization during the assignment. This sample policy does not address all issues that could arise in the course of an international assignment. Additional details should be included depending on the employer's practices and the benefits made available to assigned employees.
