New Hampshire Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Notice

Entity Mandating Poster: New Hampshire Department of Labor.

Applicability: All employers with 100 or more workers.

Where to Post: The mailing of notice to an employee's last known address or inclusion of notice in the employee's paycheck is considered sufficient notice. An employer may also voluntarily post the information in a conspicuous manner, in a place accessible to affected employees.

Obtaining This Poster: Covered employers must provide 60 days' advance warning of mass layoffs or plant closings to affected employees (and representatives, if any), the Labor Commissioner, the New Hampshire Attorney General, and the chief elected official of each municipality in New Hampshire where the plant closing or mass layoff occurs. An employer must comply with the guidelines set forth by the New Hampshire Department of Labor. In addition, an employer may voluntarily post a notice regarding a vacation shutdown (one of the WARN Act's triggers).
