When to Use

An employer may be legally required under federal, state or local law to offer leave, an accommodation or other support to an employee experiencing a pregnancy loss. An employer may also choose to provide greater benefits than those required by law or to provide leave and support although not legally required to do so.

An employer should consider implementing this policy to communicate available benefits to its employees and to demonstrate its commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment.
