  • Nebraska limits the occupations in which minors may work. See Prohibited Occupations.
  • The hours during which children under the age of 16 are allowed to work are restricted. See Hours of Work.
  • Employers wishing to employ children under the age of 16 must obtain a certificate. See Employment Certificates.
  • Children employed in detasseling, in the performing arts or as golf caddies may be exempt from the employment certificates and/or hours of work requirements. See Exemptions.
