Introduction

The growth and trajectory of an organization in part depends on the development of skills in employees. Organizations that invest in learning enable employees to become more effective within their current roles and open paths for professional development. This can be a key factor in encouraging employees to stay with the organization and capitalizing on each employee's fullest potential.

In this survey report, we explore the strategies and practices shaping professional development in the workplace today. We discuss how leading organizations approach learning, with details about professional development strategies, leadership involvement in the learning process, metrics for measuring success in learning, and the tools or technology organizations use to support learning.
